What’s an accidental tourist? You might have to be one, actually, when your friends and family come to visit San Diego and haven’t prepared their own agenda. 

You’re not usually the type who squires groups—large or small—around town. You don’t like pointing out landmarks and you would never hold up your hand at an intersection and exclaim: “We’re walking, we’re walking!” 

 There are certain situations, however, when it’s all on you to show out-of-towners a good time. To that end, we’re lending a hand, as well as some good ideas on what to do when your friends, parents, grandparents, friends with kids and friends with pets show up on your doorstep and ask you to entertain them.
