The official CD release debut of their eponymous album, the musical duo of tabla artist, Miles Shrewsbery and nylon string guitarist, Dusty Brough play music inspired by everything from flamenco and Balkan to Indian Classical, jazz, Persian and pop.
The La Jolla Music Society closes the Celebrity Recital Series with violinist Midori and pianist Özgür Aydin, who'll perform Mozart’s Sonata in F Major, Bloch’s Sonata No. 2 for Violin and Piano, Beethoven’s Sonata in E-flat Major and Fauré’s Sonata in A Major.
One of the most respected conductors, Christoph von Dohnányi, conducts the San Diego Symphony in a performance of Mozart's first true piano masterpiece (the Concerto No. 9 in E-flat Major), Brahms' great second piano concerto and closing triumphantly with a performance of Ludwig van Beethoven's immortal Fifth Symphony.
