No business like shoe business

Elos Shoes comes to Adams Avenue

By Clea Hantman
IMG_7587It's the men's shoes that I covet most of all.

Normal Heights has a new shoe store, thanks to Lisa Sanger-Greshko. She's a former shoe designer for Tred Air UK, among others, and now has a pretty adorable little spot right on Adams Avenue called Elos Shoes with select offerings for man, woman and child. Well, baby—sweet teeny-tiny things from See Kai Run and Robeez.

I picked up a sexy pair of comfortable heels (sexy? comfortable? two words that don't belong in the same sentence) from Miz Mooz that wear like a boot, but show enough naked foot to be sunny-weather-appropriate (not that the sun has been showing it's face of late). I also wanted the deep-sea-turquoise deck shoes, but decided one new pair this week, one next.

The comfortable little shop also carries women's Born, Saucony and Keds, among others. But it's the men's shoes that shine, from Clarks and Bed Stu. Great boots, great dressy shoes without being Euro-fugly. Just great. And the prices are reasonable, even (mostly) downright affordable. Man-friendly bags, too, in case you're shopping for a gift. Christmas is only 46 shopping days away....

Elos Shoes, 3404 Adams Avenue, Normal Heights, 619-241-2201.
