Watch Wavves perform with GZA

By Peter Holslin
wavvesgza Wavves with GZA
Wavves frontman Nathan Williams might be a total pothead, but he's a busy dude. He recently signed a deal with MTV to write the music for I Just Want My Pants Back, a new comedy about hipster college grads living in Brooklyn. Wavves is about to release a new EP, Life Sux, which comes out on Sept. 20 on the band's own Ghost Ramp label. And Thursday night, they backed GZA in a performance of the Wu-Tang Clan member's classic "Liquid Swords" on the Fuel TV program The Daily Habit (watch below, care of Pitchfork).

Let this be a lesson to stoners and their parents everywhere—just because you smoke tons of weed doesn't mean you can't be productive. Take that, D.A.R.E.!
