Summer cocktails at El D

El Dorado rolls out their new menu

At 7 p.m. tonight, El Dorado Cocktail Lounge is launching their new summer cocktail menu with a special release party. They're doing it on their regular Tuesday "Family Night," which means you can try the new drinks for just $5 a pop (they're typically $9).

There's no real theme on the menu, save for the fact that all the cocktails are the type of beverages you'd want to slurp down after a long, hot summer day.

Here's a sneak preview of what the suspender and vest-wearing young men at El D have in mind:



Artichoke Hold

        2 Rye
        1/2 Cynar
        1/4 maraschino
        ango bitters
            Stirred on rocks
            orange garnish

El Pepino

        2 Teq.
        3/4 simple
        3/4 lime
        muddled cucumber  (2 wheels)
        cracked salt.
         Cucumber Garnish

Americano

        2 Campari
        1 Sweet vermouth
        Soda
         Orange peel garnish (Not zested, just for looks)

Rosita Stone

        1 Gin
        1 Apple Jack
        3/4 lemon
        3/4 Grenadine
            shaken Strained
            lemon garnish


Alameda  
        2 tequila

        3/4 lime
        3/4 Orgeat
        mole bitters
        nutmeg garnish
            shaken, strained

Moscow Mule 
        2 oz of vodka, bitters, sugar batch
        1/2 live Evolution way
            lime wedge, mint garnish.
