CityBeat should cost $2,500-$3,500 per issue

Lunatic reader really values our columnists

By Dave Maass
sordid

I love it when we get hand-written letters. Unfortunately, we can't print this one because we don't run anonymous stuff on our letters page. This blog, however, obeys an altogether different set of rules.

2*16*2011

He, She, It:

Once again I take my pointy little pen in my stubby little fingers to express my almost infinite amusement at the contents of your current issue, in particular Edwin Decker and Aaryn Belfer.

Fortunately your paper, like your work, is priceless. Aside from your personal principles and the odd humorlessness of Americans when the subject of discourse is themselves, you should be hauling in $2500-3500 per issue.

As per, your fren [?], The Phantom Lunatic

I assume the Phantom Loon means $2,500-$3,500 per copy, because we do actually gross way, way more than that each week.

For your reference, the columns he/she is talking about:

Ed Decker's Sordid Tales, Locals only (Part 2)
Aaryn Belfer's Backwards in High Heels, The palm pilot
