If you were wondering about the "special guests" listed on El Dorado's website for Tuesday, Feb. 15... surprise! Scion A/V, the in-house record label for Scion, the Generation Y-loving car company, announced yesterday that they're hosting a DJ party featuring Toronto dance heavyweights Azari & III. (It'll be their first San Diego show.) Minimal techno producers Runaway and Blu Jemz will also DJ.
Azari & III set dance floors ablaze in 2009 with "Reckless (With Your Love)," a red-hot house anthem with a tight little beat, swooning diva vocals and an insistent, come-hither synth vamp (see video above). Late last year, Scion released a remix EP of "Into the Night," a similarly sultry Azari & III single. But "Reckless (With Your Love)" is what gets me every time.
The party starts at 9 p.m. Adam Salter and Saul Q will also DJ and MayStar will be there too. The party is free if you RSVP here.
