It's been hours since I took a chance to give myself a hearty pat on the back, but I've really outdone myself this time. Thanks to my incalculably vast media influence, City Hall has bowed to the pressure to finally allow Brovisions / Brothers Provisions to sell bottles for offsite consumption. If you're feeling generous, you can also extend some credit to the proprietor, who has been battling this since its opening, but I think we all know who did the heavy lifting here.
This is a tremendous coup for the deli-pub whose walls were riddled with desperate orphaned beers just hoping to find a happy home. Now, thanks to Brothers Provisions' "off-sale beer and wine" license, there's nothing to stand between those abandoned brews and our gullets. I have confirmed that change of status is effective immediately.
Brothers has promised, on its Facebook page, that an epic celebration is forthcoming, but, in the meantime, it's offering volume discounts to those anxious to bring multiples back to their house.
Congratulations to Brothers Provisions in yet another incremental victory against The Man.
