On Wednesday, City Hall-watchers were all a-chitter-chatter about which San Diego City Council members would sit on and chair what committees—in particular, Council President Todd Gloria's decision to create a new committee to study infrastructure and his choice of freshman Mark Kersey to lead it.

Today, Gloria's released the slightly less sexy list of which council members will be assigned to represent San Diego on the boards of affiliated, external organizations.

Among the changes:

Lorie Zapf has been replaced by Scott Sherman on the Abandoned Vehicle Abatement Service Authority. David Alvarez keeps his seat.

Gloria has appointed himself to sit on the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System Board (he previously had been Tony Young's alternate). Zapf will replace Marti Emerald on the SDMTS Taxi Cab Committee.

Alvarez replaces Kevin Faulconer on the SANDAG Bayshore Bikeway Working Group.

Zapf is now the alternating chair of the San Diego Consortium Policy Board (Workforce Partnership). Alvarez is also now a full member, with Sherman as his alternate.

Kersey replaces Carl DeMaio on the San Dieguito River Valley Open Space Joint Powers Authority.

And last, but not least, Gloria has appointed himself liaison to Civic San Diego, the successor to the redevelopment agencies, Centre City Development Corporation and Southeastern Economic Development Corporation.

In his memo, Gloria adds that other assignments are in the pipeline but require Mayor Bob Filner's final approval.

Download the list here.
