Sixteen people, one bike. No, that isn’t the setup for "2 Girls 1 Cup"-like porn; it’s the premise behind Social Cycle, a new venture launched in Downtown San Diego. The biz facilitates your bar-hopping needs with a rentable bike ($185 to $200 an hour) that seats a “captain” who steers and controls the brakes while 15 pedaling friends provide the power.

Social Cycle is just another way for you to look kinda ridiculous while safely engaging in night-timey events like these:

Punk Rock vs. Hip Hop @ The Tower Bar: What’s better, the thrashing energy of punk rock or the head-bobbing beats of hip-hop? The series that set out to answer that question continues from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, with hip-hop duo Brother Nature featuring DJ / producer J-Blow taking on fuck-the-man punk band Back Alley Hooligans.

The Siren, The Muse, and The Goddess @ W Hotel: From 8 p.m. to midnight Friday, Dec. 2, check out an art exhibition featuring Janelle Carter and Bret Barrett and a runway fashion show and trunk show by M. Dot Design Studio’s designer / seamstress Michelle Aquino. DJs Junkyard Dog, K.O.B and others will provide the soundtrack. $15 to $30. mdotdesign studio.blogspot.com

Six-Year Anniversary of MayStar’s Fashion Whore @ The Ruby Room: If you’re on the receiving end of May- Star’s persistent promotions, it can be a bit much. The nightlife guru is constantly lending her name to various events, but MayStar’s real labor of love is Fashion Whore, and if you’ve ignored her recent calls to check out her lineup of indie designers, do yourself a favor and show up at this month’s anniver sary event at 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, which has a Venetian-masquerade theme and features designers Paul Rico, Nikki Lipstick, Alyssa Mansfield and Leo Lynn Designs.
