Things that go thump in the night

When all you want to do is dance, this is what you need to read

We have a long weekend coming up, kiddies, so put on your party pants. Things kick off on Thursday, Aug. 23 when NYC DJ Bryan Cox appears at THIN (852 Fifth Ave.) with his high-energy bass lines and signature "fidget-house" sound. The next night (Aug. 24) brings Australian electro-disco-bangers The Bang Gang Deejays, to the Beauty Bar (4746 El Cajon Blvd.) for a night of mayhem. Having recently been signed to Australia's Modular Records--home to The Avalanches, Klaxons, Cut Copy and San Diego's own Soft.Lightes--you know these guys must be doing something right. Everyone needs a good Bang Gang at least once before they die.
