Club Fabrique

At the Ken Club

By Nobody
They call Kensington “La Jolla of the east”-an understated pocket of urban richies. Its two-block village core boasts one of the best indie-film theatres in San Diego. A few doors down is a long, dark, rectangular bar and adjoining stage where rock's local scenesters gather. It's called the Ken Club, and this weekend dawns a new electronic circus night for the eastern hot spot. The cheeky live electronica duo Rotator (think the Beastie Boys meet Daft Punk) have created “Club Fabrique.” They'll play two short sets, along with DJ Mack, who'll “bust some filtered house and Japanese exotic big beat.” Club Fabrique kicks off at the Ken Club on Dec. 14. 619-284-2848.
