Yes, Virginia, there's more than hippies in Ocean Beach. The little boho burg by the sea actually has a long tradition of supporting underground artists. ARTIFACT, a music, art and fashion show presented by art gallery Ninthlink on Voltaire in O.B., will actually take place in the swanky confines of downtown's Abbey nightclub, however.

Along with music by DJs Tron, Cassette and Atari, the art of Shepard Fairey, Dave Kinsey, Barbara Rourke, Joe Sorren (his work “JFeather” is pictured) and others will be complimented by a fashion show by the Let's Go and Niche boutiques. Plus, artists will transform a van into a “Mobile Canvas.” A portion of the proceeds go towards Young For Youth, a non-profit helping youth embrace challenge through collaboration.
