Rochelle, Rochelle

Since emerging last year, Rochelle-Rochelle has quickly become one of San Diego's top rock bands.

By Troy Johnson
Gaylord Van Brocklin, the dreadlocked spark plug guitarist for Rochelle, Rochelle, is in one hell of a mess right now. He's been checked into the hospital and is seriously ill, but doctors can't figure out where or what the problem is. Responding in kind, RR is playing a Get Well Gaylord show. Since emerging last year, Rochelle-Rochelle has quickly become one of San Diego's top rock bands. CMJ rated the boys in the “Top 50 Unsigned Bands in America,” and they're poised to make some modest national waves in the underground circuit. For the “Get Well” show, fans are encouraged to bring get well cards, lip-pierced teddy bears, Justin Timberlake bobble head dolls, nude photos or anything that shows support and makes Gaylord smile a bit.
