Magic Man: A Trolley Show

Rhode Island band performs 'Texas' on the MTS

By Ryan Bradford

Providence has produced some serious talent, namely Talking Heads' David Byrne, who met two other members of the band at Rhode Island School of Design. While Magic Man doesn’t have quite the same eccentricities as Talking Heads, they share the undeniable penchant for a killer pop song.

In this episode of A Trolley Show, the Rhode Island band performs “Texas,” a bouncy, anthemic song with just enough urgency to give it a disarming punch. We give major props to the guitarist, who rocks the jorts harder than anyone we’ve ever seen on this show.
