The Young Wild: A Trolley Show

San Diego band performs 'Moment Goes' on the MTS

By Ryan Bradford

It’s always suspect when a band changes its name. At best, it comes off as a shrewd move in rebranding; at worst, it implies a band lacking confidence or professionalism (think Andy Dwyer’s numerous band names in the TV show Parks and Recreation). But it’s difficult to think of anything negative to say about The Young Wild—formerly known as Family Wagon. The once-bluesy lot sounds tighter and cleaner—an all-around improvement.

In this episode of A Trolley Show, the band performs “Moment Goes.” Note to future bands: If you want to devastate the heartstrings, go with a child’s choir. Never before have we felt the repercussions of the song so long after it’s ended, not to mention that it’s goddamn adorable.
