Crystal Fighters: A Trolley Show

An encore performance from one of our favorite Trolley bands

By Ryan Bradford

This isn’t the first time we’ve featured Crystal Fighters on A Trolley Show, but they’re such a fun, poppy band, and so appropriate for the sudden uptick in temperature, that we felt they deserved an encore performance.

In this episode of A Trolley Show, the band performs “You & I,” a springy continuation of the tropicalia-lite pop that they established in “LA Calling,” featured on their last A Trolley Show. Perhaps the biggest difference is the addition of vocalist Sebastian Pringle’s ukulele, which gives the song a tinge of intimacy that’s surprisingly disarming, considering their penchant for bombast.
