The Lonely Wild: A Trolley Show

L.A. band performs 'Everything You Need' on the MTS

There are few things that pull our heartstrings like muted trumpets and a balladeer. Throw in a bass line that’s reminiscent of Ben E. King’s “Stand By Me” and there’s going to be a lot of dust in our eyes (if you know what we mean).

In this episode of A Trolley Show, Los Angeles band The Lonely Wild perform “Everything You Need,” a lovely ballad that would make Roy Orbison proud. The twin trumpets lift the song without compromising any of the emotion, but it’s Andrew Carrol’s vocals that make the song soar. We also can’t remember when a triangle was put to such good use.
