More post-turkey partying

Let our Hit List guide your nighttime activities

By Alex Zaragoza
hitlist Work up an ironic sweat with DJ Eats Everything.

You’re feeling it in your pants right now, aren’t you? That extra tightness around your waist that’s letting you know that you recently consumed your weight in mashed potatoes. Thanksgiving is a hell of a holiday on your body. But, man, all that delicious turkey and stuffing is amazing. I don’t stop eating until I feel like I might actually burst my stomach like the fat guy in the movie Seven.

Now that we’ve made it through the weekend 10 pounds heavier, we’ll all need to work some of it off. Here are some fun dance parties that should help you burn those Thanksgiving calories.

On Thursday, Nov. 29, U-31 Cocktail Lounge (3112 University Ave. in North Park) will be the scene of Thanksgiving Aftermath @ Fusion. Experience visual overload courtesy of the LED walls, beams and lasers that will go off as go-go dancers shake their rumps. Move along with them by dancing to a mix of top-40, hip-hop, electro and ’80s by DJs Slynkee and Lojic. Just think about it this way: Every time you drop it like it’s hot, you also drop a spoonful of stuffing from your muffin top.

Keep sweating the gravy off your gut on Friday, Nov. 30, as Fluxx (500 Fourth Ave., Downtown) rings in the Christmas season with FLUXXmas Factory. DJ Brett Bodley will aid your dance-floor workout by spinning dance tunes and remixes till closing time. The Fluxx website assures that this night is open to both naughty and nice people, so there’s no need to feel excluded if your club wear includes sensible shoes.

On your last stop to being 10 pounds lighter, party ironically with producer / DJ Eats Everything at Voyeur (755 Fifth Ave., Downtown), also on Friday. The Brit will spin house music suitable for the gym and the dance floor.

Richard Simmons would be proud.
