Soul Stompin’ First Fridays with The Amandas: Shake, rattle and roll every first Friday of the month with ’60s cover band The Amandas and DJ Claire on the wheels of steel. Whistle Stop Bar, 2236 Fern St. in South Park

A Night of Motown: DJs bring the heat wave with Motown’s greatest hits, along with garage, surf and psychedelic jams every second Thursday of the month. El Dorado Cocktail Lounge, 1030 Broadway, Downtown

Super Soooooul: Groove to soul and R&B from DJs and live bands every third Thursday of the month. The Lincoln Room, 901 Fourth Ave., Downtown
