Defending the Caveman and the rest of this week's theater happenings
And here you thought the hunter-gatherer instinct had been bred out of the human race once it happened upon the first McDonald’s. Facts be told, those behaviors are as strong as they ever were—after all, what are channel-surfing and shopping if not the modern refinements of both traits? Actor Isaac Lamb even does a monologue about it. It’s called Defending the Caveman. It’s by Rob Becker. And it’s a very funny look at the way men and women have related to one another throughout time. The material isn’t always that unique, but Lamb is a consummate performer amid his talent for cadence and the quirky, shit-eater look in his eyes.
